Our services
Workshop
We repair, set up and restore all high-end and vintage guitars : classicals, electrics, acoustics and jazz guitars (Fender, Gibson, Martin, Selmer, luthier instruments).
Restoration
The aim of the restoration work we do is to give back to an instrument its original appearance and function – that of being played – while taking care to preserve all of its original elements.
Appraisals
We appraise all types of guitars, vintage or modern, acoustics or electrics, as well as any plucked string instruments and musical equipment.
Consignements / Purchase
We are always interested in the consignement of vintage guitars, basses, amps, and other plucked string instruments, to be sold via our shop Galerie Casanova and our online webstore.
We may also discuss direct purchase options for your vintage instruments.
Jérôme Casanova
Jérôme has been practicing his craft as a luthier for almost thirty years. Specialized in the building and restoration of classical guitars, he has also restored many instruments produced by major European and American luthiers and brands.
His expertise of high-end restoration and in all plucked string instruments also led him to teach and write a book on the origins of the Spanish guitar.
He took over the shop at 17 Galerie Véro-Dodat to recreate a guitar workshop there. This place, with its 50 year history, has seen ownership from Daniel and Françoise Sinier de Ridder who are world-renowned restorers of plucked string instruments, then Rosyne and François Charle, and has been dedicated for the past forty years to the sale of beautiful and rare guitars.
