A lovely Gibson ES-335TD made in Kalamazoo in 1968, in very nice original condition.

Here is a superb and very characteristic example of an ES-335TD from the late 1960s, with an Iced Tea Sunburst finish which was an era-specific option, significantly less common than the standard Sunburst in shades of black, brown and yellow. Other features of the instrument are typical of 1968, with its original chrome hardware: the Tune-O-Matic bridge with nylon saddles (ht original part is stored in the case, guitar s currently equipped with a TonePros repro), the trapeze tailpiece and two humbucking pickups bearing their Patent No labels. Other distinctive elements are there: the original Kluson Deluxe tuners with double-ring plastic knobs and the black molded plastic knobs in the style of the knobs found on amplifiers at the time. The rosewood fingerboard has a single binding and features block-style pearloid inlays.

The guitar has a superb patina, a sign of good past use – indeed, given the light weight and the immediate sound that we obtain once this 335 is hooked up to an amp, we can imagine that it was the ideal playing partner for more than one musician over the decades! The guitar has been fully setup, prepared and appraised by us, sold in perfect playing condition.

Sold in a modern hardshell case.
