1975 Martin D-18, in very nice original and preserved condition.
This D-18 dates from the mid-1970s, when Martin dreadnoughts were among the most sought-after and played acoustic guitars in the world – the bluegrass revival was in full swing, with leading figures such as Tony Rice and Norman Blake, both prominent Martin dreadnought players. This format also enjoyed a certain popularity among fans of folk and traditional music of all genres, since it lends itself equally well to soloing and accompaniment. The 18 style found on this guitar is one of the most firmly established from the Nazareth builder, continuously produced in the form we know today since 1917: spruce top; mahogany back, sides and neck; rosewood fingerboard, bridge and headstock veneer.
It currently has a beautiful patina, as well as the usual marks of long years of playing yet with careful use. Above all, we took the time to restore all of this D-18’s qualities as a musical instrument: the following operations were carried out in our workshop: the neck was reset to recover a good height at the bridge nut, the guitar was fully refretted and given a new set of adjusted bone nuts, followed by a complete set up in order to restore all the playing comfort and accurate intonation that can be obtained from these instruments.
Sold in its original Martin molded hardshell case.
