José Ramirez class 1A classical guitar with its original label, dated to 1971.
Since its introduction in the 1960s, this model has constituted a veritable standard among Spanish classical guitars, prescribed by concert pianist Andrés Segovia himself.
It features a choice of materials of exceptional quality: red cedar top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, finely inlaid rosette. Very well preserved and perfectly adjusted for playing, we note the bottom seam having been regaled, leading to a slight deformation of the bottom and a deterioration of the varnish. Marks of use on the neck. The guitar has been fully optimized for playing in our workshop, work including a planning of the fingerboard, the complete refretting of the instrument and the making of a set of bone nuts, allowing the perfect adjustment of the action and the intonation.
Sold in its original case.
