A beautiful 1972 Martin D-35, in very good condition.

This model is all in all very close to the D-28, from which it only differs by its three-piece rosewood back – a reminder of the period when rosewood bits of sufficient size to make two-piece backs were in short supply. The problem was largely solved by the switch from Brazilian rosewood to Indian rosewood between 1969 and 1970, the latter not being subject to the same restrictions as the first and available in much greater quantities. This exotic wood is particularly flattering on the present guitar, with a nice grain showing many shades of black and brown.

For the rest, the instrument has everything one would expect from a good Martin dreadnought: a round and present low end contrasting with sharp highs, a comfortable neck, a light weight… Complete professional setup done in our workshop, the guitar is a joy to play with a low action and just intonation. Completely original, including varnish, plate, bridge and Grover tuners.

Sold in its original Martin hardshell case, with the original tags.
