José Ramirez 1A classical guitar with its original label, dated to 1978, in perfect original and preserved condition.

Since its introduction in the 1960s, this model has been a true benchmark among Spanish classical guitars, having greatly contributed to formalizing the dimensions and shapes that the instrument should take on in the second half of the 20th century, with among other things the implementation of doubled sides that are found in many other luthiers and builders of the period. The productions of José Ramirez III were notably prescribed by concertist Andres Segovia, who played several of these models throughout the 1960s and will encourage his many disciples to employ them as well, ensuring the influence of the 1A for decades to come and up to the present day.

This guitar features an exceptional choice of quality woods: cedar top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, finely inlaid rosette, French polish, crafted Fustero tuners. We find this guitar in impeccable condition, absolutely free of defects or breakages. The guitar has been fully set up for playing in our workshop, work including a levelling of the frets and crafting of a new bone bridge saddle, allowing the perfect adjustment of the action and intonation. Perfect playing condition.

Sold in its original case, accompanied by its original invoice.
