An unusual harp-guitar made by Del Vecchio circa 1957, in very good condition.
A beautiful instrument built by the Casa Del Vecchio company in São Paulo, Brazil. Founded in 1902 by Angelo Del Vecchio, this guitar manufacturer has produced all sorts of plucked string instruments, most notably resonator guitars which captivated the interest of a certain Chet Atkins.
The present instrument is very peculiar: built around a guitar body made from beautiful wood – spruce top and figured rosewood sides and back -, it has an extension on the side of the headstock allowing for three floating bass strings on the side of the fretboard .
This guitar is in great restored condition, with its pickguard and bridge made from rosewood as exact reproductions of the original. Réglé et préparé par nos soins, en parfait état de jeu.
In its original hardshell case, also included is the original customs release document dated from 1957.
